Behind the scenes with Stephen (our CTO)

Hiring intelligence doesn't build itself, it takes a dedicated team sitting around a screen to get the human details right.💡
For our very first team spotlight, we’re bringing you behind the scenes with Stephen (our CTO) and our dev engineering crew as we continuously shape how Lina supports recruiters.
Here is a quick peek into how our engineering team works. 👇
🔸 (To Stephen) As CTO, what philosophy guides your engineering focus?
🔹 Build with empathy for the user. Technology should remove administrative friction, not add complexity. My role is to guide our team so our AI remains reliable, clear, and genuinely helpful.
🔸 (To the Dev Team): How does working closely with Stephen shape the way you solve engineering challenges?
🔹 Stephen provides the technical compass as CTO, but gives us the space to solve problems creatively. It keeps our code clean and our development cycles fast.
🔸 (To Stephen): As CTO, what is the core philosophy you pass down to the dev team when building Lina?
🔹 Build with empathy for the recruiter. Technology should remove friction, not add complexity. My job is to guide our engineering choices so that complex AI capabilities feel intuitive, transparent, and reliable.
